Project Name: Piccolo Ronin Listening Bar

The one-stop destination for an immersive journey into the gut of Japan's culinary and entertainment subcultures. In the heart of Milan's up-and-coming Chinatown, Ronin has become one of the city’s landmarks, encompassing loud tapas, a listening bar, a robata restaurant, a raw bar, shabu-shabu sets, show cooking experiences, a fine mixology cocktail bar and an omakase restaurant - all across a three-floor building.
We have been hired by Ronin in 2022 to design a mini series of posters to promote their listening bar sessions. For this project we dived into the heritage of Japanese graphic design, illustration, art and calligraphy, taking inspiration from works of Kawanabe Kyōsai, Tadanori Yokoo, Shigeo Fukuda and Hajime Sorayama to name a few.
