Commissioned for the February 2024 edition of British GQ, we created four illustrations—an opener spread, one full-page, and two spot illustrations. The article details an unlikely group of British gym enthusiasts who began producing counterfeit Xanax online, believing they had found the perfect money-making scheme. But when Pfizer's private investigations team got involved, their operation quickly started to crumble. Our brief was to illustrate Roman-style physique statues, reminiscent of stereotypical gym bodies. These figures were then shown cracking and deteriorating, much like a pill being crushed and turning to dust.
