Commissioned by Die Ziet for their weekend magazine, on a story about the High Deck Housing Estate and the kids living there. Unfortunately, the High Deck Siedlung in Berlin Neukölln is considered a problematic district and an example of failed integration. The area made headlines on New Year's Eve 2023 when teenagers set fire to a bus and hindered the firefighters from extinguishing it when they arrived. Their reporter wrote about the incident back in January and had been following the area and the boys throughout the year. As the boys don't want to be photographed, we were commissioned to illustrate 3 images about their story.
