“The Magazine of Letting Go” - Hamam is a quarterly print publication celebrating the art and culture of bathing. Each issue features essays, artist projects, photography, and interviews with unconventional spirits all over the world. This second limited issue is dedicated to heat, and its transformative power. When we step into the heat of a steaming banya or the warm embrace of a pool of water, we find ourselves cleansed, renewed, and activated. We illustrated a piece to accompany “The Bath” a poem written by Gary Snyder, a poet, essayist, lecturer and environmental activist. Snyder is a winner of a Pulitzer Prize for Poetry and the American Book Award.
